Forget Wiener Dog Racing, Corgi Racing Is Your New Favorite Kind of Weird Dog Racing (Video)
You know Corgis, those weird-looking dogs that look like Collies with really short legs? Well, somebody in Minnesota decided it would be fun to race them. And that person is a damn genius.
The video you are about to see is from the first annual Canterbury Park Corgi Races, which took place on July 30 at Canterbury Park Horse Racing Track in Shakopee, Minnesota. The grand champion of the absolutely adorable three-heat event was a Corgi named Pendleton. However, the real star of the show was a Corgi named Logan Handsomepants. Not only was he adorable, and not only did he finish third overall, but he may just have the greatest dog name of all time.

Special tip of the hat to the announcer, too. I don’t know if that was the first Corgi race he ever called, but he certainly was a pro.
If there’s not yet an international governing body that sanctions and oversees Corgi races, I hope there will be soon. I never knew how much I needed Corgi racing in my life.
