Former Detroit Lions RB Jahvid Best to Run in 100m Heat Against Usain Bolt
Four years after a concussion ended his career, former Detroit Lions running back Jahvid Best qualified to run track for Saint Lucia’s Olympic track team, competing in the 100m dash for the country in which his father was born. Best became the first person with prior NFL experience to qualify for the Summer Games.
On Saturday, it was announced that Best would be running in the same 100m heat as Usain Bolt.

Posting a 10.16 time, Best passed the Olympic qualifying time on April 2nd. Only two others in Saint Lucia qualified to go to Rio. Best posted the fastest time out of anybody in the country.
