Man Who Went Viral For Rocking MJ Gear Gets Free Apparel & Phone Call From Jordan (Video)
Everybody who has played a pick-up game of basketball at their local park probably has run into a few people who showed up in full NBA gear of their favorite player. And 10 times out of 10, they can’t play b-ball at all.
Jeffrey Harrison, who went viral when a video showed him in full Michael Jordan gear on the court, got the surprise of a lifetime after Chicago Bulls legend MJ saw the video and sent him free apparel along with giving him a phone call as well. What many didn’t know at the time of the viral video is that Harrison also suffers from autism.
KREM 2 CBS did a fantastic piece on Jeffrey Harrison
“It is part of an obstacle he and millions of others in the United States face on a daily basis. The obstacle is called autism. Byrd has known Harrison for 20 years and seen the challenges he faces. From not being able to have a job, to the criticism that comes when he is doing what he loves.
Harrison said people are not always nice and sometimes he gets frustrated. But, he is never defeated. He challenges the perception of who he is and what he is capable of both in life and in basketball.
“I am a good player, I always have fun playing basketball. I also take the game real seriously,” said Harrison.
It is just another way he takes after his idol. It shows in the defense he was playing, on the video that made him famous.”
