Donald Trump Thinks Colin Kaepernick Should Leave The Country (Audio)
San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick is the hot topic around the country after a photo surfaced on social media showing him sitting down during the National Anthem while his teammates stood up. The next day, he ignited a fire in American citizens when he said the following:
“I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color. To me, this is bigger than football, and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder.”
The latest public figure to speak out on Kaepernick is none other then republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, who appeared on Dori Monson’s show on KIRO radio Monday & was asked about his thoughts on the decision of Kaepernick to not stand during the playing of the National Anthem.
“Well I have followed [the Kaepernick story], and I think it’s personally not a good thing. I think it’s a terrible thing. And you know, maybe he should find a country that works better for him, let him try, it won’t happen.”
