Eddie Lacy Getting Haircut After Being Tackled by Locks During Game (Video)
During the offseason much was made of the fact that Packers running back Eddie Lacy needed to lose some weight. However, it turns out that what he really needed to lose was some hair.
Late in the first quarter of the Packers’ preseason game against the 49ers on Friday night, a still-somewhat-pudgy-looking Lacy took a handoff from Aaron Rodgers at his own 10-yard line. He then cut to the outside, blew past three San Francisco defenders, and found himself on the 20-yard line with just one San Francisco defender between him and a 90-yard touchdown…until someone caught up with him just enough to reach forward and yank him down by his hair.
Take a look:
That’s a perfectly legal tackle in the NFL. It’s not that the NFL wants to see guys get their necks snapped. It’s that long hair can cover or obstruct parts of the body that are fair game for tackles, and making hair off limits would give an unfair advantage to guys with long hair. So if you don’t want to get tackled by your hair, you shouldn’t have long hair.
Immediately after the game Lacy said he was “debating” whether or not to do something about his hair.
“I don’t know how many more of those I’d like to experience,” he told PackersNews.com. “We’re in camp. So I’ve got to wait until I get out of camp, and then I’ll assess it.”
Now, though, it seems Lacy has arrived at a decision.
I’m not cutting my hair completely off just trimming it

Probably a smart move.
