Late Nebraska Punter Sam Foltz’s Family Robbed During Tribute For Their Son
Just when you think there is some hope for humanity, something despicable like this happens.
Nebraska Cornhuskers punter Sam Foltz was tragically killed along with former Michigan State punter Mike Sadler after an auto accident in Wisconsin back in July of this year.
On Saturday, the Cornhuskers wanted to honor their fallen teammate by sending out a punter-less punt team against Fresno State and taking a delay of game. Fresno State returned the favor by declining the penalty and it was an awesome moment for the fans, teammates, coaches, and the Foltz family that was in attendance.
It was all good until they got back home and realized they had been robbed while they were all at the game. Jordan Foltz, brother of Sam Foltz, took to Facebook and vented about what happened:
“The sheriff in Greeley County (Nebraska) confirmed that someone broke into Jordan’s home and stole a flat-screen TV between the hours of noon Saturday and 3 a.m. Sunday. The culprit also stole tools out of his car, with a total loss of up to $1,400.”
