Johnny Manziel Is Going Back to College, the Only Place Where His Drinking Habits Are Socially Acceptable
Johnny Manziel may not be an NFL quarterback, but at least he’s no longer a college dropout. According to The Dallas Morning News, a source close to Manziel has confirmed that the former Heisman Trophy winner and Cleveland Browns quarterback has re-enrolled at Texas A&M, where he was formerly majoring in molecular biology.
Just kidding! Manziel’s majoring in recreation, parks and tourism sciences. It’s unclear how many credits he needs to graduate, but the guy was redshirted as a freshman and played two seasons after that, so he should be a senior in terms of credits.
Manziel, who is currently facing a misdemeanor domestic violence charge, was spotted back in College Station, Texas, over the weekend. However, one source says he plans to continue living in Los Angeles and take courses online. And that rumor appears to be confirmed by this screenshot of an online course discussion board:
In case you can’t quite make that out, it says, “My name is Johnny. I’m originally from Tyler, Texas but I also Kerville, TX home. I enjoy most sports but my favorites are football and golf. I am an RPTS major and have been out of school a couple of years but I’m trying to get back on track so I can graduate.”
Of course, it would probably be easier (and more fun) to “get back on track” in College Station. However, Johnny probably wants to stay in L.A. so he’s close by when the Rams get sick of Jared Goff.
No offense, Jared, but come on. It’s the Rams.
