We’re so used to seeing cornerbacks and receivers bicker over the course of a game that when it DOESN’T happen, it almost feels…off.
Not that we’re complaining, though.
Yesterday, the Bengals’ AJ Green clearly got the better of the Jets’ Darrelle Revis, pulling in all ten passes thrown to him while covered by Revis, totaling 152 yards and a TD.
But rather than talk smack after the game, Green had nothing but praise for the 31-year-old back, saying, “That guy has nothing else to prove. He’s a first-ballot Hall of Famer for sure. I’m trying to get where he is.”
Refreshing, right? It would have been easy to take the low road pulling in plays like this:

However, it looks like even SportsCenter was trying to kickstart a rivalry and some smack-talking that just wasn’t there:
