After 28-0 Loss to The 49ers, Rams Decide to Give Jeff Fisher a 3-Year Extension
Just because the Rams aren’t in St. Louis anymore doesn’t mean the franchise has turned itself around. It’s the same old terrible franchise that hasn’t had a record above .500 since 2003 and hasn’t been to the playoffs since 2004.
Veteran coach Jeff Fisher has been with the team for 4+ seasons and 3 of those seasons have ended with 7 wins, which is what Jeff Fisher is known for. On Monday Night Football against another rebuilding franchise, San Francisco 49ers, the Rams were ran out of Levi’s Stadium to the tune of a 28-0 beatdown.
That was good enough for the Rams front office to give Jeff Fisher a 3-year extension, according to ESPN’s John Clayton.
Clayton: The word on the street, I don’t know if they actually put it in one of the…because…they haven’t really put out the Michael Brockers contract extension yet, because I know he just got a contract extension. I think they were gonna put at the bottom of the release that Jeff Fisher signed a 3-year extension.
Host: Are you serious.
Clayton: Yeah. That’s what I’m hearing.
Host: Oh my gosh!
Clayton: But they haven’t put out any release yet.
Yep. That is what a 27–37–1 record with that franchise gets you.
