Browns OL Alvin Bailey Arrested for Weed & OVI After Drinking on Team Plane
Cleveland fans had reason to be optimistic coming into the season, not because the Browns might be a Super Bowl contender, but because they were still on cloud nine about the Cavs winning a championship.
Sitting at 0-3 and down multiple QB’s, the Browns were forced to play Terrelle Pryor at QB on Sunday against the Miami Dolphins in a game they should have won—until they remembered they were the Browns.
More bad news on Monday as it was reported that Browns offensive lineman Alvin Bailey was arrested for OVI after he admitted to cops he was drinking on the team flight:
“Bailey was allegedly speeding on West 130th Street before making a turn into a nearby dog park. As he started to get out of his car, a police officer told him to get back inside, but Bailey refused. That’s when he admitted to drinking and was arrested for the OVI.
The local paper says that officers also reported seeing “green flakes believed to be marijuana” inside the car’s center console.”
The Browns released this statement from Executive VP of Football Operations Sashi Brown:
“We are aware of the incident and have spoken to Alvin to express our displeasure and extreme disappointment. This is a matter that must be taken very seriously and we will comment further at the appropriate time.”
