Conor McGregor Threatens Not to Fight in Vegas After Getting Fined $150,000
Conor McGregor is not going to come back to Vegas to fight again, according to Dana White, who appeared on The Herd with Colin Cowherd to speak about McGregor’s recent fine of $150,000 after throwing a water bottle during a pre-fight new conference prior to his recent showdown with Nate Diaz. The fighter was also hit with 50 hours of community service by the Nevada State Athletic Commission.
White said that McGregor’s upset enough about the incident and response that he’ll swear off ever fighting in Vegas again. White said, “I wasn’t thrilled about it when it happened, and we did the best we could to contain it at the time, but come on. The other problem with that is Conor McGregor hit me yesterday and said, ‘I don’t ever want to fight in Nevada again. Ever’.”
McGregor has several of the highest-grossing fights in Vegas history to his name, so his boycott could really hurt the city more than the $150,000 fine hurts him. But we’ll wait and see if this is more a passionate response or real threat.
