Redskins WR DeSean Jackson Fined $6K For Wearing Custom Cleats Protesting Police Killings
Last Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens, Washington Redskins wide receiver DeSean Jackson made a concussion decision he knew would get him both fined and heavily criticized throughout the country. That decision was wearing some customized cleats with caution tape protesting the recent police involved shootings of African Americans around the country.
He was indeed fined $6K by the NFL for violating the league’s dress code policy, but he doesn’t care.
Also, DeSean Jackson said he was fined by the NFL for his police-tape cleats. He will not appeal. Said it was worth it to make a statement.

“It’s cool, man,” Jackson said of the fine. “My message and what I wanted to get across was more of the case for that, so I wasn’t worried about that [fine].”
