Vontaze Burfict Faces Possible Suspension For This Cheap Shot on Martellus Bennett (Video)
Vontaze Burfict was already suspended for the first three games of this season thanks to his dirty play during last year’s AFC Wild Card game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Apparently, the controversial Bengals linebacker hasn’t learned his lesson, because on Sunday during a week 6 match-up against the New England Patriots, he did this to Pats tight end Martellus Bennett:

To no one’s surprise, Burfict’s cheap shot directed at Bennett’s knees is now being reviewed by the NFL:
NFL reviewing Vontze Burfict low hit on Martellus Bennett, as is customary. A player’s history can factor in to potential discipline.

This type of behavior is obviously nothing new for Vontaze. Hopefully the NFL takes that into consideration when dishing out their punishment.
