LeBron James Says ‘Teams Get Together’ in Order to Beat Him
A wise man once said, ‘You come at the king, you best not miss.’ That wise man was Omar from the hit HBO series ‘The Wire’.
Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James is fresh off bringing the city its first major Championship in a long time and he believes GM’s and Owners around the league are stacking up their squads in order to defeat him.
LeBron has won the Eastern Conference Finals for six straight years and he had this to say to Cleveland.com on Friday:
“I know teams switch and pick up new coaches or new players, and their whole goal is kind of they want to beat me.” Basically that means if you hate the Warriors adding Kevin Durant, or the Knicks being a “super team” blame LeBron.
He also further built upon that point by saying “It’s never just about me, but I always hear them saying, ‘We got to beat LeBron.’ It’s not just me on the court, but I understand that teams get together in this conference and across the league to try to beat me.”
I know what you’re thinking: Didn’t LeBron go to the Heat to form a Super team with Dwyane Wade & Chris Bosh?
Clearly, LeBron forgot his comments at the time about finding some players to defeat the Boston Celtics:
“I had to figure out and get with some guys that could be on the same level as Paul [Pierce], Ray [Allen], [Rajon] Rondo, KG and those guys.”
