Student Admits He Was Absent to Attend World Series Game 1, Doesn’t Get in Trouble (Tweet)
When a teacher at Ohio State noticed that a student who had appeared at the beginning of class was absent by the end of it, that professor sent a strongly worded email to the student on the importance of attendance.
The student, nothing if not honest, sent back the real reason he was gone from class: He was at Game 1 of the World Series between the Indians and Cubs, just a few hours away.

Looks like that teacher loosened up pretty quickly. Risky move. I bet that kid could have gotten in some serious trouble if the teacher was a Chicago transplant or something.
