LSU-Alabama Game Predicts Hillary Clinton Will Beat Donald Trump, Apparently

If you’re a Donald Trump supporter who gives credence to preposterous superstitions, I’ve got some bad news for you. Turns out all the sporting events that supposedly predict the outcome of presidential elections agree with the polls that say Hillary Clinton is on track to win the White House.

The most famous of these sports predictors is the so-called “Redskins Rule.” In 17 or the last 19 elections, when the Redskins won their last home game before the election the incumbent party retained the Oval Office, but when the Redskins lost their last home game before the election the challenging party won. This year, Washington D.C.’s NFL team won its last home game before the election.

Another election predictor? World Series Game 7s. Apparently the last eight times there was a World Series Game 7 during an election year, the GOP won the White House when the AL prevailed while the Dems won the White House when the NL prevailed. And as you probably know, this year the NL prevailed in Game 7.

Now the folks at have figured out that the annual Alabama-LSU grudge match also predicts the outcome of the presidential election. Since 1984, when LSU beat Alabama, the Republican won the White House. However, when Alabama beat LSU, a Democrat won the White House.

On Saturday, as you may know, the #1 Crimson Tide beat the #19 Tigers 10-0 at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge.

So there you go. Hillary Clinton is going to beat Donald Trump on Tuesday. You don’t even need to bother voting. It’s a done deal.
