Cowboys CB Anthony Brown on Steve Smith: ‘I Have No Respect For Him Anymore’
The Dallas Cowboys won a franchise record 9-straight game on Sunday after defeating the Baltimore Ravens at AT&T Stadium, but there was at least one Cowboys player who wasn’t happy after the game.
Cowboys rookie cornerback Anthony Brown puts himself on a long list of players who have been agitated by Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Steve Smith Sr.
Brown claims he had much respect for Smith before the game, but lost all of it by the time the game was over.
“I had respect for him before the game, but after the game I have no respect for him anymore,” Brown said. “He’s a real character, and I actually saw it for myself [Sunday]. I don’t got nothing to say about Steve Smith.”
Brown stated to Dallas Morning News that he didn’t appreciate how Smith carried on after several plays during the game.
“Coming into the game they already told me what kind of player he was,” said Brown, a sixth-round pick out of Purdue. “But until you see it for yourself, then you’re just, ‘calm down,’ but it’s hard because he keeps yapping after every play. It’s kind of hard.”
