“LeBron: The Musical” Is the Best “Hamilton” Parody You’ll Ever See (Video)
In case you haven’t heard, Hamilton: An American Musical is kind of a big deal. And not just because the show has won Tonys, Grammys, Pullizters, and every other theater award you can imagine. Hamilton is so popular that it’s almost impossible to get regular price tickets from the box office, and resale prices hover around $1,000 a piece.
Of course, when something is as popular as Hamilton, people make parodies. So far we’ve seen Hamilton-inspired parodies of Donald Trump, deflategate, the Chicago Cubs, and Star Wars. Hell, there’s even a Hamilton porn parody.
Now the folks at Dose have gone and made a Hamilton parody about LeBron James. It’s called, cleverly enough, LeBron: The Musical. And it is actually really, really good.
The three-and-a-half minute video tells the story of LeBron’s incredible Hall of Fame career, from his high school days in Akron, to his start in Cleveland, to “The Decision” and Miami, and then back to Cleveland. It’s narrated by a Steph Curry doppelgänger and features Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, Kyrie Irving.

For comparison, here’s Hamilton creator and star Lin-Manuel Miranda performing the show’s opening number at a White House poetry slam a few years back:
