Falcons Troll Browns for Waiving Taylor Gabriel After WR Scores Two Brilliant Touchdowns (Video + Tweet)
The Cleveland Browns are so inept, it’s almost impossible to discuss their roster moves publicly without trolling them. That being said, not all troll jobs are created equal, and one we saw from the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday was particularly savage.
The Falcons improved to 7-4 on the season with a 38-19 win over the Arizona Cardinals thanks in no small part to two brilliant touchdowns from lightning-fast wide receiver Taylor Gabriel.
Take a look:
Taylor Gabriel is listed at just 5’8″ tall. He went undrafted out of Abilene Christian back in 2014, but the Browns signed him as a free agent. He recorded a very solid 36 receptions for 621 yards and one touchdown as a rookie, but just 28 receptions for 241 yards and zero touchdowns in 2015. Somehow figuring that the problem was actually Gabriel and not their endless quarterback drama, the Browns released the diminutive WR on September 3, 2016, at which point he was snatched up by the Falcons…for whom he has 378 receiving yards and four touchdowns in just nine games.
Needless to say, the Falcons are very grateful the Browns gave up on Gabriel. And following Sunday’s win, they were in a trolling mood. So they tweeted a screen shot of Gabriel’s Wikipedia page.
