Nick Saban Goes OFF on Reporter For Thinking It’s OK To Lose a Game (Video)
Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban has his team undefeated headed into their match-up against the Florida Gators next week in the SEC Championship Game.
While most people around the country believe Alabama is a lock for the College Football Playoff regardless of the outcome, Saban doesn’t want his players with that type of mindset.
One poor reporter felt his wrath after asking the following question:
Reporter: Do you expect there to be the competitive fire from players that won’t allow them to think that it’s OK to lose this game?
Before he could even finish the question, Saban was already upset and cut him off.
“That’s certainly not the mindset that we want. This is a big game for us. It’s an opportunity to win the SEC championship, which – to me – is a very significant accomplishment. We hold that in very high esteem, having the ability to do that, having the opportunity to do it, having the ability to play for it.”
As he continued, his voice got louder:
“So. I’d really rather not have any more questions about ‘Is it OK to lose this game?’ It’s never OK to lose a game.”
