Nerlens Noel: ‘I’m Too Good To Be Playing 8 Mins, They Need to Figure Sh*t Out’ (Video)
Philadelphia 76ers center Nerlens Noel played in just his second game of the season against the Los Angeles Lakers, which ultimately ended in a 100-89 loss.
After the game, Noel was hot about the minutes that he played because, in his mind, he’s ‘way too good to be playing only 8 minutes’.
“I just want to play basketball,” Noel said in response to whether or not he wanted to be paired with another center. “I don’t really care who I’m playing with. I’m not an eight-minute player so I don’t know what that’s about. I don’t really care. I need to be on the court playing basketball. I think I’m too good to be playing eight minutes. Like, no, that’s crazy. That’s crazy. That’s crazy. They need to figure this s— out.”
Noel missed the first 23 games of the season after undergoing surgery on his left knee in late October. During his much anticipated return against the Detroit Pistons on Sunday, he scored 8 points in 10 minutes as was forced to exit that game due to a sprained ankle.
