Report: Tom Savage is Expected to Start For The Texans Against The Bengals; Osweiler Benched Again
On Sunday, Houston Texans fans lost their minds when $72 million QB Brock Osweiler was pulled from the game in favor of fan favorite Tom Savage. And Savage did not disappoint, as he led the Texans back from a 13-0 deficit to win the game. Despite not starting the game, he threw for more yards than Jags QB Blake Bortles and Texans QB Brock Osweiler combined.
Head coach Bill O’Brien would not go into detail on who would be next week’s starter after the game. Instead, he stated, “We don’t make decisions [based] on how much a guy gets paid. I try to make decisions in the best interest of the team. I felt at that time (bringing in Savage) was the best thing for the 46-guys on the sideline.”
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, it would be a huge shock to everyone if Tom Savage wasn’t the starter for next week’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
From what I know, it’d be a major surprise if it was anyone but Tom Savage taking over at QB for the #Texans. Their passing O back in sync

Savage completed 23-of-36 passes for 260 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions.
