Panthers Coach Ron Rivera Removes Tie Policy After MNF Win
By now you’ve probably heard about the Carolina Panthers dress code, which includes a policy that demands players wear ties on flights to and from away games.
That same policy is what caused Cam Newton to be benched by head coach Ron Rivera for the Panthers’ week 13 game against the Seattle Seahawks—which resulted in backup QB Derek Anderson throwing a costly interception on the opening play of the game.
Well, Cam must have been happy to hear that the tie policy was dropped for the team’s flight home from Washington, thanks to a 26-15 win over the Redskins on Monday Night Football:
Ron Rivera just came through locker room and said Panthers don’t have to wear their ties on team plane home. Seriously.

I’m confused. It Ron Rivera trying to troll Cam Newton with this decision, or himself?
