Browns’ Hue Jackson, Veterans Get Emotional In Locker Room After 1st Win (Video)
After 14 heartbreaking losses in a row, the Cleveland Browns finally drew a line in the win column after defeating the San Diego Chargers on Christmas Eve—thanks to a missed last second field goal that would have tied the game.
After the game, coach Hue Jackson and veterans on the team were extremely emotional as the team finally got the monkey off their back.
“I was just saying to somebody the other day that we haven’t given out any game balls to anybody because we haven’t won a game,” Jackson said, according to Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com. “I don’t remember ever doing that, being in that situation, but today, everybody gets game balls. The whole organization gets game balls because they did a good job. It was a fight to the finish and that’s the way it is when you haven’t won. You’ve got to find a way to win one. Doesn’t matter how you win it, just win it.”
“This one’s for you.”
