Mike Vick Gets Huge Ovation in Return For Falcons Final Regular-Season Game (Video)
Despite thousands of fans signing a petition to keep former Atlanta Falcons QB Michael Vick out of the Georgia Dome during Sunday’s halftime ceremony, the organization didn’t listen and honored one of their all-time greats anyway.
Upon entering, Vick was greeted with a standing ovation as fans went wild. He hadn’t been in the stadium since 2011, when he was a member of the Philadelphia Eagles.
“This place holds a special place in my career,” Vick said, who the Falcons drafted No. 1 overall in 2001. He played for seven seasons, leading the Falcons to the NFC Championship in 2004.
