Jeff Hornacek’s Reaction to Carmelo Anthony Calling Yet Another Iso Play is Pure Gold (Video)

The New York Knicks are in 10th place in the Eastern Conference and are currently on a 5-game losing streak.  And the frustration is starting to set in.

Monday night against the Orlando Magic, head coach Jeff Hornacek watched as star Carmelo Anthony brought the ball up and proceed to call yet another Isolation play for himself.

Hornacek’s reaction pretty much sums up the Knicks season so far.

Hornacek was visibly upset and could do nothing but just walk away as Melo bricked the shot.

After the game, Hornacek went off on the team and their terrible defense that allowed the Magic to score 115 points.

“I don’t think our guys aren’t trying. Maybe we’re just not capable of it. I don’t know…”

“That’s what we’re going to have to figure out. Maybe you have to play some of these other guys. We might have to mix the lineup up somehow.

“I think they’re trying … We just must not be good enough defensively.”

I have to find someone to play some defense … You can’t come out beginning of the game — I think their first three or four baskets were 3-pointers. We’ve got to have better pride in that.”

And finally:

“There are times where we just didn’t go after the ball hard enough … There were some rebounds up there that they just took out of our hands and came over our backs. That’s when maybe we need to be in the weight room a little bit more.”

“We have to find somebody who can play some defense.”
