Johnny Manziel Came Pretty Close to Violating the Terms of His Domestic Violence Plea Deal (Videos)
Johnny Manziel rang in the New Year in Miami over the weekend, and some of his activities might draw some scrutiny from the Dallas County Criminal District Attorney’s Office.
In December, the former Heisman winner and NFL quarterback struck a deal in his domestic violence case. According to the terms of that deal, charges against Manziel would be dismissed in one year if he (1) completed an anger management course, (2) attended a domestic violence victim impact panel, (3) participated in the NFL’s substance abuse program, and (4) had no contact with ex-girlfriend Colleen Crowley.
So what did Manziel do that could get him into trouble? He partied at the same Miami club as Colleen Crowley.
Manziel and Crowley were both at LIV night club in Miami on Sunday night. We know because both of them were Snapchatting their evening.
Take a look:
Manziel later deleted his posts from the club and posted part of the restraining order against him, writing “She knows LIV on Sunday is church! Pfff surprised she was even able to get in without me.” So apparently he isn’t too concerned.
It is entirely possible and perhaps even likely that the two ended up in the same club. However, it’s unclear how liberally the Dallas D.A. will interpret “contact.” At the very least he might be sending Manziel’s lawyer a letter warning him and his client to be more careful.
