Auburn Alum Charles Barkley Thanks Clemson for Beating Alabama in Typically Bizarre TNT Segment (Video)
Charles Barkley thanked Clemson for beating Alabama on Thursday night’s edition of Inside the NBA. And he did it in typically bizarre fashion.
For those of you whose memory banks maybe don’t go back to the early 1980s, prior to embarking on his Hall of Fame NBA career with the Philadelphia 76ers, the Round Mound of Rebound played college ball at Auburn, Alabama’s arch rival. As you probably know, for Auburn fans, the next best thing to watching Auburn win is watching Alabama lose. So Chuck was in good spirits this week.
Barkley started off his segment on Thursday by mocking the way Alabama fans yell “Roll Tide.” Then he thanked Clim-sin and invoked Auburn’s war cry, giving a solid “War. Damn. Eagle.”

You can always count on Charles Barkley to stir the pot. However, he might want to consider warming up those vocal cords a bit the next time he does something like that. That first attempt at “Roll Tide” sounded like nails on a chalkboard.
