Boston Dude Arm Wrestles Brian Scalabrine, A.K.A. White Mamba, for Table at a Bar (Video)
What’s NBA legend Brian Scalabrine been up to since retiring from basketball in 2012? Oh you know, little bit of this, little bit of that. He spent parts of 2013 and 2014 as an assistant coach for the Golden State Warriors under Mark Jackson. Then in 2015 he went back to Boston to work as an analyst for Comcast’s coverage of Celtics games.
One thing Scalabrine has not been doing is spending a lot of time in the gym. And we know this because the White Mamba arm wrestled a dude over a table at a Boston bar over the weekend and lost.
According to said dude, he and Scalabrine pounced on a table that had just opened up at the exact same time. When his buddy suggested the two arm wrestle for it, Scalabrine accepted the challenge.
Somehow I suspect they would not have sent the video to the folks at Bro Bible if White Mamba had won. Take a look:
Don’t judge Scalabrine too harshly for losing. Yes, he is only 38 and a former professional athlete. But his opponent was no slouch. Scalabrine is 6’9″ tall, and unless he’s standing on a box, the guy he arm wrestled looks like he’s at least 6’7″.
Good on White Mamba for being such a good sport about everything.
