On Tuesday Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones went on Dallas’ 105.3 The Fan to talk about the future of the team following their playoff loss to the Packers. And while he wouldn’t commit to either Dak Prescott or Tony Romo for next season, he did reiterate that he still has faith in Romo.

“I really believe that Tony Romo will play in a Super Bowl,” Jones said. “Now try that one on. I know that if he’s healthy enough, he’ll be in a Super Bowl. I strongly believe that.”

Unfortunately, to the unbiased observer, that seems highly unlikely. Some might even say the only way Romo is going to play in a Super Bowl at this point in his career is if it’s in Madden.

In fact, the folks who run the Madden NFL Twitter account actually did say exactly that in this savage tweet:

That is one of the burniest burns that ever burned. If they ever start a Twitter Burn Hall of Fame, this one will be part of the first class.

Of course, there were plenty of butt-hurt Cowboys fans who took offense to the Tweet, and they said some very silly things in response:

However, everyone else seemed to appreciate Madden NFL‘s savagery:

As for me, I respect the hell out of Tony Romo and feel bad that he’s in the position he is in. But I still have to hand it to the Madden crew. That was a sick burn.
