Report: Knicks Wanted To Trade Melo For Kevin Love, LeBron Said NO
On Tuesday, after the Cleveland Cavaliers lost to the New Orleans Pelicans, making it 5 losses in 7 games, LeBron James went off once again about the franchise getting a back-up point guard and, most importantly, a play-maker.
“For weeks now, LeBron James’ drumbeat has remained consistent: “Get me more help. We need more playmakers. We need a backup point guard.” He said it privately in the locker room after games and publicly when cameras were rolling. It was the first thing he said after the Cavs traded for Kyle Korver. He said it and said it and said it.
“I don’t got no time to waste,” he said. “I’ll be 33 in the winter and I ain’t got time to waste. That’s what I’m talking about. … When I feel like physically and mentally, me personally, can’t compete for a championship no more or I feel like I can’t do it, then I won’t have this problem. But until that happens, and it don’t seem like no time soon…” He didn’t finish the sentence. He didn’t have to.”
“I ain’t got no problems with the front office. I told (Griffin) to his face, so it ain’t like I’m telling y’all to put it on record. I see Griff all the time. One thing about me, if I got something to say, I’m going to tell it to your face. We need a f—— playmaker. I’m not saying you can just go find one, like you can go outside and see trees. I didn’t say that.”
Carmelo Anthony and his tenure with the New York Knicks has reached the end as both sides just want to end it. According to reports, the Knicks tried to do just that, but it was denied.
