Kirk Cousins Makes EPIC Strip Chasing Down Aqib Talib After Tossing INT (Video)

Kirk Cousins tackle Aqib Talib

It appears as though quitting is not in the vocabulary of Washington Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins.

With just over a minute remaining in last night’s Pro Bowl, with the NFC trailing by a touchdown, Kirk Cousins was trying to lead his conference to a game-tying score, but he threw an interception to Lorenzo Alexander deep in AFC territory, seemingly putting an end to their comeback hopes.

However, while returning the interception, Alexander lateraled the ball to Broncos CB Aqib Talib, who made a beeline for the end zone.  And it appeared as though he was going to get there…until he was chased down by the very man who threw the interception, Kirk Cousins.

At that point, this meaningless game was pretty much over, but that didn’t stop Cousins from hustling down the field, making the tackle, and stripping Talib of the ball.

After the game, Cousins said he had a victory in mind when he made the hustle play.

“I thought I had a chance to strip it, and maybe we’d recovered it,” Cousins told reporters after the game. “I don’t know. Something could’ve happened. You never know. You got to play it all the way through.”
