Blake Griffin with the Sick Between-the-Legs Bounce Pass to J.J. Reddick (Video)
Los Angeles Clippers power forward Blake Griffin just returned from an 18-game absence, and now he apparently thinks he can play point guard.
The crazy thing is, he might be right.
Griffin had a routine arthroscopic procedure to remove “loose bodies” from his right knee back on December 20. He finally returned to action last Tuesday in Philly, but only played 29 minutes and scored just 12 points while trying to shake the rust off.
There was no rust on Wednesday night during the Clippers’ 124-114 win in Phoenix, however. Griffin was a force to be reckoned with. Not only did the big man score 29 points and grab eight boards, he also had five assists, including a ridiculous between-the-legs bounce pass to J.J. Reddick, who thankfully converted the reverse layup to complete one hell of a highlight reel play.
Take a look at this:
With superstar point guard Chris Paul expected to be out until at least mid-March after undergoing surgery to repair a torn ligament in his thumb, Clippers coach Doc Rivers might want to consider giving Griffin a look at point guard. And I’m only half kidding. Who knew the guy could dish the ball like that?
