Charles Oakley Explains the Fiasco at MSG That Got Him Arrested (Video)
As unlikely as it sounds, Charles Oakley would like the world to know that he did absolutely nothing wrong prior to getting booted from a Knicks game—an incident which led to a confrontation with security, which led to his arrest.
The legendary NBA enforcer told the NY Daily News the following:
“I was there for four minutes… I didn’t say anything to him [owner Jimmy Dolan]. I swear on my mother. They came over and wanted to know why I was sitting there. I bought the ticket. I said, ‘Why do you guys keep staring at me?’ Then they asked me to leave. And I said I’m not leaving.”
Oakley’s facing three counts of misdemeanor assault and one count of trespassing for not leaving.
His PR person says, “Oak bought his ticket to support the team and was told he was ordered to leave without reason … anyone would be furious!”
