Vin Baker: James Dolan Called ‘Sounding Really Sad’ To Ask Me To Come To Knicks Game
The smoke still hasn’t cleared after New York Knicks owner James Dolan banned Knicks legend Charles Oakley from MSG for life after a physical confrontation he had with security earlier this week.
Dolan immediately called up former players Latrell Spreewell, Larry Johnson, and Bernard King and had them sitting courtside with him, possibly in an attempt to get back in the good graces of the fan base.
According to former NBA player Vin Baker, they weren’t the only players Dolan called up to come to a home game and sit next to him.
Vin Baker played just 41 games in a Knicks uniform, but Dolan was so desperate for former Knicks players that he called him ‘sounding really sad’ in an attempt to get him to a game.
“(Dolan) called me sounding really sad asking me if I would come sit with him,” Baker told Jordan Schultz of The Huffington Post. “Hadn’t spoken to him in 15 years.”
