LeBron on Kevin Love Being Injured: “As Long As I’m In The Lineup, We’ve Got A Chance”
It was announced earlier on Tuesday that Cleveland Cavaliers forward Kevin Love underwent arthroscopic surgery and would be sidelined for approximately six weeks.
Only two games separate the Cavs and the surging Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference standings. Things seem to be wide open with Love now on the shelf, but superstar LeBron James doesn’t seem too concerned, as long as he is on the team.
“I’ve never stepped down,” James said via ESPN’s Dave McMenamin.
“It’s been a burden on me since I got drafted,” he added. “Why does it change now? Ain’t nothing changed. I have my guys ready to play every single night.”
“I’ll rest when I retire,” James said. “As long as I’m in the lineup, we’ve got a chance. We good. Kev is out. Kev is out for an extended period of time. J.R. has been out. But I’m in the lineup. I’ll be suiting up, we’ve got a chance against anybody. I ain’t worried.”
Yeah, he said it.
