Jameis Winston Gave Some Grade School Kids the Worst Life Advice Ever (Video)
While he is a promising young quarterback, given the various indiscretions of Jameis Winston’s past—ranging from shoplifting to profanity to, well, sexual assault allegations—I’m not sure he’s the guy I’d pick to lecture a classroom full of 3rd, 4th, or 5th graders.
But he’s famous, so he did, offering up some pretty crazy life lessons and prescribed gender roles like “Boys should be strong and girls should be silent.”
Here’s the video:
He’s all over the place, but here’s a pulled quote:
“Now a lot of boys aren’t supposed to be soft-spoken. You know what I’m saying? One day y’all are going to have a very deep voice like this (in deep voice). One day, you’ll have a very, very deep voice.”
But the ladies, they’re supposed to be silent, polite, gentle. My men, my men (are) supposed to be strong. I want y’all to tell me what the third rule of life is: I can do anything I put my mind to. Scream it!”
You know what? Don’t scream it.
