Gronk Says Crazy Pats Fans Will Drag Roger Goodell if He Lands in Boston (Video)
New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski was unable to play in the Super Bowl due to injury, but he still deserved that ring about as much as anyone else on that squad.
Before the season began, QB Tom Brady finally decided to give up the fight against deflategate and just accept his 4-game suspension from commissioner Roger Goodell. The Patriots didn’t miss a beat as they continued to win, with ot without him, ultimately ending the season with a comeback win against the Falcons at Super Bowl 51.
Goodell, of course, was forced to shake hands and give congratulations to them and it felt great to every single fan in Boston to see him get boo’d mercilessly while handing over the Lombardi Trophy.
During a recent interview with ESPN, Rob Gronkowski stated that Goodell would not be welcomed inside Gillette Stadium and Patriots fans are so crazy that they may just drag him out of the city.
“I don’t think he can even land in the airport in Boston, because Patriots fans are the best fans. They’re the most loyal fans. I’m telling you, they might just carry Roger out themselves.”
“He wouldn’t get through the highway if our fans saw him.”
