Lonzo Ball’s Dad Says, “My Son Will Only Play For The Los Angeles Lakers”
Someone may want to explain to him how the NBA draft works.
About two weeks ago, LaVar Ball, the father of UCLA phenom Lonzo Ball, made a shocking proclamation about his son.
“You can’t compare my boy to anyone,” the elder Ball told TMZ Sports. “I’m going to tell you this, you say he’s like Jason Kidd, but he’s taller than Jason Kidd. He jumps better than Jason Kidd. He’s longer than Jason Kidd. He’s got a better shot than Jason Kidd.”
“He’s going to be better than Steph Curry in the NBA,” Ball deadpanned. “… My son is young, he’s got time to grow. You only consider (Curry) good because he’s won a couple of championships … he’s made some shots at the right time … but he’s not as young as my boy.”
“You’re not going to be able to say this until my boy has ended his career,” Ball continued, “then they’re going to look back and say, ‘Man, how did Lavar know all of this?’”
