D’Antoni Wants Rockets To Take 50 Threes a Game For The Rest of Season
Before this season, no team in NBA history had ever hoisted 50 3-pointers in a single game. Then the Rockets hired head coach Mike D’Antoni and they let loose. Back in November, they became the first team to ever hit that threshold.
Three months after that record-breaking game, Mike D’Antoni wants his squad to shoot for that number every single game for the remainder of the year.
D’Antoni said he expects Rockets to take an average of 50 3s the rest of the season. Before this season, no team had taken 50 in a game.

Since that November game against the Sacramento Kings, the Rockets have launched at least 50 threes seven times, including a record 61 attempts in a win over the New Orleans Pelicans.
During Saturday’s win over the Minnesota Timberwolves, a game in which they scored 142 points, the Rockets hoisted up 58 3-pointers, 2nd most in NBA history.
