Thanks to Bad Drains and a Storm, Petco Park Is Now Basically a Swimming Pool (Pics)
San Diego is known for its temperate, sunny climate, which is great, but when it rains, things can go a little sideways. On Monday, Petco Park turned into a lake thanks to a downpour of rain coupled with some non-functioning drains.
As bad as things look, it’s not THAT bad. The ballpark had its turf pulled up earlier this year, so any damage done was likely going to get replaced anyway.

Well, they got about a month to get things right for their opening day. I hope nature cooperates.
