REPORT: Kirk Cousins Tells Owner Dan Snyder He Wants To Be Traded
Kirk Cousins doesn’t like that, Cousins doesn’t like this situation at all.
Chris Mortensen of ESPN reports that quarterback Kirk Cousins has personally met with Washington Redskins owner Dan Snyder and told him to his face that he wants to be traded. He was franchise tagged by the team last week.
Sources also told Mortensen that Cousins was told not to get his hopes up.
Kirk Cousins appealed personally to owner Dan Snyder for a trade but was basically told not to get his hopes up, per sources.

Cousins wants a long-term and bigger contract and the Redskins are not trying to give it to him.
Cousins’ response should be to tell Washington not to get their hopes up about him signing his franchise tender. By rule, he can stay away until Labor Day or thereabouts, skipping the offseason program and training camp and the preseason and making $23.94 million for the season once he reports.”
One obstacle in the Kirk Cousins trade: Dan Snyder. I’m told bad blood remains between he & Kyle. Dan doesn’t want a Shanahan landing Kirk
