John Harbaugh: Joe Flacco is ‘An Elite QB That Will Win Multiple Super Bowls’
One Super Bowl win is just not enough for John Harbaugh.
Back in 2012, the Baltimore Ravens took home the Super Bowl trophy behind the efforts of QB Joe Flacco, who had an outstanding playoff run, finishing the postseason having completed 73-of-126 (57.9 percent) passes for 1,140 yards with 11 touchdowns and zero interceptions.
Five years later and Harbaugh is convinced Flacco isn’t finished winning Super Bowls.
“When he first walked into the building after we drafted him in 2008, (it was like), ‘Hey, dude, we’re going to win multiple Super Bowls. We’re going to win multiple championships here,'” Harbaugh said at the NFL owners meetings, according to ESPN’s Jamison Hensley. “And we’re going to.”
Flacco and the Ravens had an incredible run of 5 consecutive playoff appearances during his 1st 5 years in the league, but have stumbled lately, missing the postseason three of the last four years.
Harbaugh also wants to kill the noise about the long debated topic of whether Flacco is elite or not.
“Our quarterback is a championship quarterback. He’s proven that,” Harbaugh said. “He’s an elite quarterback, he’s a franchise quarterback. You name it. That’s exactly what it is.”
