Doc Rivers Goes Off On Reporter: “That is, Like, The Dumbest Thing I Ever Heard” (VIDEO)
It was not a good night in Los Angeles on Saturday.
In the first 17 seconds of the game, the Utah Jazz lost Rudy Gobert for the entire game and possibly the series with a knee injury, but it still didn’t stop the Jazz from sending Clippers fans home upset. The Clippers find themselves down 1-0 in the series after a 97-95 loss, thanks to a Joe Johnson buzzer-beater.
Doc Rivers was not happy about it.
Following the game, the Clippers head coach was asked about Chris Paul making a game-tying shot with 13.1 seconds left, and leaving too much time on the clock for the Jazz. Rivers wasn’t having any of this nonsense.
“Who would do that?” Rivers asked, incredulously.
“That makes no sense. That is like, the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. When you’re down two, you try to score. You don’t wait. You score. If you can score in one second, you score. You always do that. And if you can find another coach to tell you different, I want to meet him.”
