Social Media Roasts The Warriors For Using Slogan Similar To Cavs’ ‘DEFEND THE LAND’ (TWEETS)
After LeBron James returned back home to Cleveland following a 4-year stint with the Heat, the franchise adopted the term ‘The Land’ as a slogan for the city.
Immediately after winning their first ever NBA Championship, the motto ‘Defend The Land’ was born.
Apparently, Cleveland wasn’t the only team that liked the slogan. The Warriors organization decided to copy their rivals, but switch it up a little in an attempt to not make it so obvious. It didn’t work.
As the Dubs took the floor against the Portland Trail Blazers, the fans could be seen rocking a shirt with a slogan that said ‘Defend our Ground,’ and social media let them have it.
