Adidas In Hot Water For Insensitive Email Selling Boston Marathon Apparel
I see where ADIDAS was going with this. They just screwed up and used the wrong choice of words.
A bunch of people took to social media on Tuesday to complain about the email that ADIDAS sent them following the Boston Marathon on Monday. It all stems from them congratulating runners for “surviving” the Boston Marathon.

The Boston Marathon was the target of a terrorist attack back in 2013 that ultimately killed six people and injured hundreds of others.
