Just 24 Games In & Eric Thames Has Been Given 4th Drug Test of 2017
The Milwaukee Brewers have played 24 games so far this year. They’ve won 12 and lost 12, as they are the epitome of an average team.
Brewers first baseman Eric Thames is clearly doing his part as he’s blasted 11 homeruns in just 22 games played. While the long balls continue to pile up, so too does the amount of drug tests he has to take. Following the conclusion of Friday’s game, Thames underwent yet another drug test, his third in 10 days and fourth overall this year.
After Wednesday’s contest against the Cincinnati Reds, he was given his third drug test, likely because he had just hit his 11th HR of the young season, putting him into the Milwaukee Brewers record books as he became the first player to reach that total in April.
#Brewers Eric Thames might have been wrong when he said “I have plenty of blood and urine.” Tested last nite for third time in 10 days.

In 2011, Thames hit 12 HR’s and then followed that up with 9 the next season.
