REPORT: Jay Cutler Wanted To Play For Texans, But They Refused To Return His Calls
Apparently, Jay Cutler had no plans of retiring after his departure from the Chicago Bears.
When his wife Kristin Cavallari posted Cutler with his naked rear-end out on vacation, most took that as a retirement announcement, but Cutler has other plans.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Cutler expressed interest in suiting up for the Houston Texans for the upcoming season, but there was one problem—the Texans would never return his calls.
On Thursday, the Texans really made it clear of their intentions not to sign him by trading up and drafting Clemson Tigers QB DeShaun Watson.
After signing QB Brock Osweiler to a $72-million deal last offseason, the team traded him away to the Cleveland Browns following a tumultuous season on the field and a reported shouting match with head coach Bill O’Brien.
