Did LaMarcus Aldridge Intentionally Step Under Kevin Durant in Game 2? (Video)

The San Antonio Spurs were without their best player for Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals thanks to Golden State Warriors center Zaza Pachulia. Now people are debating whether the Spurs’ LaMarcus Aldridge tried to take an eye for an eye.

Intentionally or unintentionally, Pachulia knocked Kawhi Leonard out of Game 1 on Sunday when he got underneath the San Antonio forward as he shot the ball. Leonard came down right on top of Pachulia’s feet, rolling the ankle he had injured in Game 5 of the Spurs’ second round series against the Rockets.

On Tuesday, it appeared that Aldridge did something very similar to the Warriors’ Kevin Durant. With Golden State up by 29 points late in the second quarter, Aldridge took an extra step toward Durant while he was in the air. Durant then came down on Aldridge’s foot, but did roll his ankle.

Take a look:

After the stink Spurs coach Gregg Popovich made over Pachulia’s closeout on Leonard, Warriors fans were all over this as soon as it happened:

One person who was not mad about the play was Kevin Durant. After the game he said it wasn’t intentional, that Aldridge was just doing what bigs do.

There goes KD trying to spoil our fun. Doesn’t he know the internet loves to be outraged?
