LaVar Ball Now Wants $3 Billion Shoe Deal Now That It Looks Like Lonzo Going to Lakers
Earlier this year, LaVar Ball made it clear that he wanted a huge deal from either NIKE, Adidas, or Under Armour.
“A billion dollars, it has to be there,” Ball said. “That’s our number, a billion, straight out of the gate. And you don’t even have to give it to me all up front. Give us $100 mil over 10 years.”
Last month, all three shoe companies passed on a potential endorsement deal with Lonzo Ball because of his father’s demands.
After the Los Angeles Lakers secured the #2 overall draft pick on Tuesday, LaVar changed his stance on his price. But rather than lowering his demands, he increased them exponentially.
With Lakers likely in future, LaVar Ball tells @TheHerd that price for a shoe deal is now $3B. LeBron’s lifetime deal is worth about $1B.
